Master of Communication Disorders Application Checklist and Deadlines

The Master of Arts in Communication Disorders (CMDS) program provides the specialized coursework and practical experience that prepare and qualify successful candidates for careers in speech-language pathology. This program is characterized by high standards, close collaboration between students and faculty, and strong, broad-based professional preparation. Specific course information and requirements can be found in the catalog.

Application Checklist

  •  Application through the Communication Sciences  and Disorders Centralized Application System (CSDCAS)
  • Personal Statement (uploaded to CSDCAS)
  • Three letters of recommendation (submit recommender’s information in CSDCAS)
  • Transcripts  from all colleges and universities from which you earned college credit, including high school dual credit (submitted/uploaded through CSDCAS)
  • Official GRE test scores (optional – sent directly to Graduate Office)
  • CMDS Fellowship application (optional – available on the “Questions” tab in CSDCAS application)

Deadlines

Applications for acceptance into the Master of Arts in Communication Disorders program are due on the following dates:

  • Fall: June 1 (Priority Deadline: Feb. 15)
  • Spring: Nov. 1 (Priority Deadline: Sept. 15)
  • Summer: No Summer Applications Accepted
